About Me
I am a Salvadoran-American photographer and teacher based in Los Angeles, California. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Economics, and started photography as a hobby after I took a class at East Los Angeles Community College. My passion for my craft led me to become a photographer and eventually a photography educator. I enjoy photographing people and as the daughter of immigrants I’m very interested in documenting stories of culture and traditions.
As an educator I enjoy sharing my love for photography with young adults. I have 12 years of teaching experience and have led photography workshops through National Geographic Student Expeditions as well as taught photo for LAUSD at Paul Revere Charter Middle School and Magnet Center, and Lynwood High School in South LA. At the moment I teach at Beverly Vista Middle School in Beverly Hills, CA.
